Barbour wax jacket for men?

Thinking of buying a Barbour Ogston wax jacket in navy for DH. Are they still good quality and stylish or should I look elsewhere? They are £££ so it needs to be something he’ll wear forever.

I'm not sure if the quality is still as good as it was, but if you look after it, it should last forever. I only have old barbours.
If you shop around you might find one that's a little less expensive, and you could always sell it if he gets bored with it.

I got a wax jacket from New forest clothing for a lot cheaper. I dunno how good they are, but have v good reviews on their website.

I'd get a Barbour but I'd try to get a 2nd hand one.
If you aren't used to wax jackets, you might not like them. Reproofing is not the nicest of jobs, but you can send it off to be reproofed.

I had a look at the New Forest ones and they look pretty good, and very good pricewise. Not a bad site. Thanks for the link.
