Dc has asked for this. Please can you tell me if you’ve tried it, what you think, what did it cost, and any recommendations in London/Essex/Herts/Cambs
Thank you!

If you’ve tried it did you see a visible improvement?

There are a lot of horror stories with permanent damage so I would avoid hone treatment.

Watch Nadine Baggots tutorials using a dermaroller if you're determined to get one

Just remember roll gently then lift, do not turn the roller, roll and lift then place carefully in the next position to roll in a straight line.

I work in a salon that offers it. Haven't seen a noticeable difference in anyone who's had it done.

@Jinglingandnotmingling the programme Micheal mosley did the truth about beauty treatments did a before after test, no difference. Well worth a watch if its still on iplayer.

How old is your dc?. If it’s to prevent aging their better off with his spf sunblock, retinol and a red light led face mask.

justanotherneighinparadise · 18/12/2020 07:41

Yeah I wouldn’t.

She’s 24, and wants it to treat acne scars. Reading all these replies I’m not feeling very positive, but I think she’s quite determined...

Found good improvement with professional microneedling on acne scars. I would definitely recommend it.

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/12/2020 12:37

Is this pitted scars or red marks?.

Liquoricecomfit · 18/12/2020 17:27

Look for a good aesthetic clinic led by a doctor and with a course of around 3 treatments a month apart would give good improvement on acne scars.

They should provide a free of charge consultation to discuss best treatment options and realistic results.

Ffsseriously · 19/12/2020 11:55

There is also a programme on netflix i think? Which is American beauty clinic one of the early programmes is a lady with bad acne scars. They do peels Microneedling etc. She was pleased personally i wasnt tbat impressed but again worth a look.

MangoFeverDream · 19/12/2020 12:14

I think Fraxel laser is the most effective for scarring but requires some down time so I’ve not done it. But I’ve heard it gives the most dramatic results and could be great for lockdown (as in you don’t really have to go anywhere for awhile ...)
