Brown boots. Knee/ ankle. What do you wear them with?

And can they look smart for work?
There are lovely pictures on Pinterest with mostly black leggings or blue jeans. What else works? I liked the boots (in a sale) but didn’t really think. Anyway, that’s the brown ones.
I also got (shock, horror, I don’t usually impulse buy. Or buy much at all) some dark red ankle boots. Again, what clothes work?

As you can tell, I’m a style newbie. Reinventing myself... help needed!

If your work is smart casual you can easily wear brown boots. You could wear them with navy or grey tights and mustard, forest green or blue denim skirts or pinafores.

Brown can be warm almost orangey tanny or cool toned almost black, dark chocolate brown. That impacts what shades you can match them with.

You could do brown boots, nude tights or slight tan tights and a cream jumper dress with a camel coat or navy suit with brown ankle boots.
Not sure about the red, just makes me think of puss in boots.

As above, brown boots with navy, cream, nude. I also have a chartreuse skirt and teal top which go very well with brown. Green, if you like it and if it suits you.
Red ankle boots with black, maybe. Or more red, orange, burnt orange colours (again, if they suit you).
