Aveda scalp benefits has totally helped my itchy sore scalp. Lovely on hair too.

Philip Kingsley Itchy Flaky Scalp shampoo! I used to scratch my head raw, it would wake me up in the night, it was unbearable! This has totally cured it.

I swear by Bumble and Bumble seaweed shampoo- super gentle. I tried loads of others but this is the only one that made a big, long lasting difference.

I like Alphosyl coal tar shampoo, it is great for a flaky itchy and sensitive scalp. I get it over the counter at Boots or pharmacies.

Having had a lifetime of scalp psoriasis and having tried every. single. shampoo / treatment out there the only one I’d re buy is child’s farm. They sell it in Waitrose

I always use OGX Kukui oil shampoo and my DH (has scalp psoriasis) used to use specialist products.

Whilst away on holiday he had to use my shampoo for 4 weeks ( forgotten his own), his scalp and hair improved so much we now only use the OGX.

I think the main thing with scalp irritation is if there are SLS’s in the product it strips the natural oils.

Philip Kingsley. But I use the moisture balance one not itchy scalp. Before that I was on t-gel but it was ruining my hair

Start following the curly girl method. No shampoo or just a low poo ( no sulfates) and clean your scalp with an approved conditioner (no silicones or parabens) only. Get a scalp massager to stimulate natural oils.

I got DD a specialist shampoo, conditioner and leave in treatment in Boots own brand. She has sensitive itchy skin and scratches her head till it bleeds. It's been much better with this. Not completely fixed yet but I suspect that's because 10yo are a bit rubbish at reliably treating it. DH is also very sensitive and he bought some for himself after trying hers.

My scalp can sometimes throw a complete strop and be sensitive , painful, scabby .

BodyShop Ginger followed by the Ginger conditioner (shampoo on its own was no good)

I usually use Aveda Shampure or Paul Mitchell when my scalp is behaving .

TottiePlantagenet · 17/12/2020 23:39

Eucerin shampoo and scalp treatment, has stopped my eczema on my scalp.

PresentingPercy · 18/12/2020 01:03

Neurogena T gel or Aveeno.

julietmanchester · 18/12/2020 02:04

Leanor Greyl.

HoneyWheeler · 18/12/2020 02:12

About 18 months ago I stopped using shampoo with sulfates after about ten years having to use Neutrogena T Gel due to excessive itching. I have not looked back, can hardly believe the change! I do the curly girl method now, but modified to use a sulfate free shampoo and a silicone free conditioner. Actually life changing which sounds dramatic but it's true!

I use function of beauty. It comes posted from USA but you choose your hair type and colour scent (I have no colour, no scent) and they make it to your order. It’s taken away my itchy scalp.
