Please help me find this Christmas present

Hi, so I need to find a Christmas present for my nephew. SIL has suggested a T-shirt. His style is 'trendy' he is 19 and a student.

I am clueless.
I asked ds, (18) who said well, our styles aren't the same, and you won't get anything for under £30.

My budget is £20 max. (I don't really want to spend £5 delivery on top of cost of paying £20)
It doesn't have to be online, but there aren't many trendy shops round here.
I have to post it to them for Christmas, so need it quick!

Can anyone help?

Topman or River Island are "trendy" and could get a t-shirt for £20. Or look at Superdry.

I wouldn't say Next is trendy for a teenager at all
wishywashywoowoo70 · 16/12/2020 09:49

You won't get a trendy tshirt for £20. Safe bet is a next plain one so he can use it for lounge wear or under a sweater.

@RainbowRaine

Plain T Shirt from Next
Next isn’t trendy
TheChineseChicken · 16/12/2020 09:51

You need urban outfitters - you could try eBay for new items?

mumonthehill · 16/12/2020 09:52

Tk maxx might be a good bet, they do online as well.

TheChineseChicken · 16/12/2020 09:53

Search eBay for urban outfitters t shirt - filter by men and new with tags. I had 229 results

Why not give him an ASOS voucher? I think you can even email them now. I know it’s not the same as a gift but he would end up buying clothing anyway so you’re gift won’t have gone to waste

Perfect idea!!!

Depending on your sense of humour, how about smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08CRBZQLJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_fTD2FbYJCP0YX

FlyingByTheSeatof · 16/12/2020 10:14

Try Redbubble

I wouldn't bother getting a T-shirt he might never wear what's the point if you're not sure about his style.

TheChineseChicken · 16/12/2020 10:20

ASOS voucher is a great idea

BusterGonad · 16/12/2020 11:04

I wouldn't even contemplate choosing a t shirt, I mean, what does 'trendy' even mean? Style is such a, personal thing, your £20 will end up wasted if he doesn't wear it. Put the money in a card so he can choose something in the sales.

steppemum · 16/12/2020 11:44

what about this?

T shirt

OP posts:
steppemum · 16/12/2020 11:46

ds would be OK with that shirt - if he liked it he would just wear it, if it wasn't 100% spot on, he would wear it at the gym.
It is not embarrassing!

Cash in envelope with s thought ful card?

steppemum · 16/12/2020 11:57

nephew's style isn't really amazingly trendy.
He is fairly classic public school, toned down to be a student.

steppemum · 16/12/2020 12:06

I know I coudl do voucher or cash.
Thing is, he really isn't short of money.
And DB, SIL and kids (adults) are on their own at Christmas, as are we all.
I wanted to get him something to unwrap.
he really isn't that fussy.

SIL said trendy and - is that retro?

Urban Outfitters is great I've found 3, sent photos to ds to say would any of these work. he might ask his gf who hasgreat taste.

if they are enthusiastic I might buy one!

Might send ds to TKMaxx, we have one nearby

steppemum · 16/12/2020 13:42

well I sent ds 3 photos and he choose one, said it was perfect, it is what I would have thought too, so I went ot get it, but it is out of stock in his size.

Ah well. Try again.
On the plus side, ds loved the all and asked me to add all to his Christmas list!
So I must be doing something right.

Isn't Uniqlo quite trendy for T Shirts?

Trendy means different things to different people. DS is obsessed with fashion but would never wear anything like that Adidas shirt - no brand advertising.
