The hush ones that I was longing for are sold out! I just want plain black and quite long. Where should I look pls??

Also, must be the ones with a thumb hole rather than just a tube for your arm to go through, if you know what I mean!!

I bought my MIL the turtle doves ones and she's been really pleased with them.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 14/12/2020 07:21

I've just bought some recycled ones from Etsy similar to Turtle Doves. Also try Celtic & Co, Johnston's of Elgin, TK Maxx

Iusedtobeslimmerthanthis · 14/12/2020 07:23

are these any good?

BikeRunSki · 14/12/2020 07:31

Turtle Doves

unicornparty · 14/12/2020 07:32

I've always wondered what these are for. My coats all have sleeves that come up to my hands, why are these needed and why are he fingers and thumbs out?

autumnboys · 14/12/2020 07:39

Turtle Doves. I love mine, very soft.

Our house costs a lot to heat, we decided we would try to find other ways of keeping warm while we both are WFH.

Ditto! I have no idea when you’d wear them although I’m happy to find out 😂
Iusedtobeslimmerthanthis · 14/12/2020 07:44

They are handy when you need your fingers for something (!) such as arranging flowers or playing an instrument or cooking in a chilly place where the sleeves of a coat would be cumbersome Xmas Smile

I wear them working from home, our house is nowhere near as warm as the office and my hands get very cold. Also my mum wears them at home as she has arthritis and it helps to keep her thumb joint warm.
Honeywort · 14/12/2020 07:45

Turtle doves definitely first place.
Brora also do them but I prefer the recycling element of turtle doves

ExpensivelyDecorated · 14/12/2020 07:46

They are for in between weather when you don't need full gloves but are a bit cold. No good on bitterly cold, windy days. Some of my coats have elasticated cuffs so I don't wear them with those but they do make you warmer if your coat has open cuffs. I also find sometimes wearing them on their own with a jumper is enough that I don't need a coat at all. And your fingers and thumbs stay free for using a phone or whatever. Mine are Turtle Doves.

thegirlwithkaleidoscopeeyes · 14/12/2020 07:52

Unicornparty & DragonMamma I have a desk job and my hands have always got cold, even when I worked in a superheated office and the rest of me was too hot! The wrist warmers make a big difference but are not obvious like gloves and don’t affect dexterity Smile

I'm quite tall (5ft 9") with long arms. Hardly any of my coats/jackets actually cover my wrists!

Purplecatshopaholic · 14/12/2020 11:40

Etsy?

CrotchBurn · 14/12/2020 16:56

I wear wrist warmers because I have long gangly arms and I dont have a single coat or jacket that covers my wrists, let alone any of my hands.

I also need my fingers to be bare because I roll my cigarettes.

So basically I wear wrist warmers from around october to april :)

BikeRunSki · 14/12/2020 17:06

They kept my hands warm, and my fingers free.
Great for working at home, havn’t put the heating on I the day yet!

Fullofpissandvinegar · 14/12/2020 17:13

I keep seeing these, but what I really want is proper fingerless gloves with individual fingers. In cashmere! Saves taking gloves on and off when shopping and getting into my purse, using my phone etc. But they don’t seem to exist...

AuntieMarys · 14/12/2020 17:16

Turtle Doves. I have half a dozen pairs.

BikeRunSki · 14/12/2020 17:17

@Fullofpissandvinegar these?

Redwinestillfine · 14/12/2020 17:19

Turtle doves here too

IloveJudgeJudy · 14/12/2020 21:34

Turtle doves here also.

XiCi · 14/12/2020 21:39

I got my cashmere ones from the white company. Have to say I was desperate for them at the time but have hardly ever worn them!
