Towelling dressing gown with a hood - why is it so elusive?

Happytodayhappytomorrow · 13/12/2020 12:28

I can find plenty made of nylon, fleecy material.
I can find a few towelling but without a hood.
But I can only find 2 towelling with a hood and one is a tad short and the other is ribbed and looks a tad wierd.

Any ideas please?
I've tried
M&S
John Lewis
Next
Debenhams
Fenwicks
White Company

TIA

The White Company does a beautiful velour hooded bath robe which is lined with towelling. I've had it for years and I'd recommend it.

I haven’t been able to find one anywhere I don’t even want a hood just a proper Rowling bath robe. I can only find dressing gowns.

waitrosetrollydolly · 13/12/2020 12:47

Yeah I have a white company one from about three or four Christmas's ago .

Leah2005 · 13/12/2020 12:48

Dunelm? They do some really good quality towelling robes not sure if they have hooded ones?

OneRingToRuleThemAll · 13/12/2020 12:50

Primark. Great quality too and washes well.

slipperywhensparticus · 13/12/2020 12:52

Try amazon? It was the only place I could get a towling dressing gown

ScribblingPixie · 13/12/2020 12:55

They had some on TK Maxx online when I was looking last night - nice ones but £70 each.

MikeUniformMike · 13/12/2020 15:04

Habitat used to do them.

HPandTheNeverEndingBedtime · 13/12/2020 15:07

Amazon is my go to place for hooded towelling robes now. I had one from the Linea range from house of Fraser years ago but no idea if they still have them.

viques · 13/12/2020 15:10

I bought a grey fleecey hooded dressing gown from m and s a few weeks ago. The fleece of the fabric is very short so it is almost like towelling. It is absolutely huge though, I think they must have got the sizing wrong on the patterns, I kept it because it is very snuggly and was what I wanted. But it isn’t towelling. Was cheap though, £25.

formerbabe · 13/12/2020 15:11

Tk Max, they always have loads of dressing gowns when I go in

MikeUniformMike · 13/12/2020 15:13

They don't any more though.

try La Redoute, Lands End, Towel Shop, Christy's...
(search for 'hooded towelling dressing gown'

I have two of these - they are very good for the money [[https://www.ama

Why are you struggling with the White company? All my hooded 100% cotton robes are from there

Oldraver · 13/12/2020 15:30

I have a Pip Studio one with a hood

rawlikesushi · 13/12/2020 15:32

White company, definitely.

I have the velour one that's lined with towelling, and it's got a hood.

StrikingMatches · 13/12/2020 15:37

Try Christy the towel company.

notanotherlockdownsurely · 13/12/2020 16:29

I've got a Habitat one in white
But I prefer my joules one although it's sort of velour I think

Happytodayhappytomorrow · 13/12/2020 17:34

Not struggling with them but the short one is too short and the long one is ribbed and looks a tad weird I think.

Housewife2010 has pointed me to another one of theirs though so I'm back to have a look. Fingers crossed.
