Hairloss - menopause?

Today I have noticed a large patch of boldness/thinning on the side of my hair above my ear, like receding hairline but on the side. I started HRT about a month ago which has sorted night sweats. Could this be related? Is this permanent? Is there anything I can do? So gutted.

You may be anaemic though, iron deficiency can cause hair loss.
Best to see / speak to a gp.

If so iron tablets really help.

I’m 52 and in the last few weeks the amount of hair I lose when washing my hair and with general brushing has got so much (always lost little amounts before which is the norm). Do other people experience this and if so, is it temporary? Can anything stop it? Still having periods but starting to get erratic. Tia x

You should see your dr. Hair doesn’t usually fall out without reason.

If you go over to the meno threads there is a lot about this there too

Thank you - I’ll get that checked and see from there!
