Pomegranate smells AMAZING!!! I just use the bars of soap but it lasts about 3 months for me and still smells to the end. I have a rose one just now that's also nice. I have a pear & freesia bath oil that is lovely also.

I got one that I think was blackberry and I didn't like it very much.

MyNameForToday1980 · 13/12/2020 10:22

It depends on your pref, if you like sweet scents then Pear and Freesia or Peony and Blush Suede are very sweet, and popular.

If you like less sweet I'd go for Blackberry and Bay, or Lime, Basil and Mandarin.

Maybe tell us what other non JM scents you like and we can figure out which JM scents have a similar profile.

Feedingthebirds1 · 13/12/2020 16:25

Pomegranate Noir. It's special!!

MyEnormousTurnip · 13/12/2020 16:31

Poppy and Barley. Wish they did a lotion of it.

MadamShazam · 13/12/2020 16:36

Tuberose and Angelica. I feel like I searched for years for the one scent that was perfect for me, and here it was! I love it.

merlotormalbec · 13/12/2020 16:39

English pear and freesia is my absolute favourite.

MrsMiaWallis · 13/12/2020 16:40

Pom Noir is lovely! I like Incense and Embers as well.

Nanasueathome · 13/12/2020 16:40

Orange blossom

HedgieHog · 13/12/2020 16:42

Pomegranate noir or line basil mandarin

Madbengalmum · 13/12/2020 16:42

Grapefruit, fresh and summery. Pom noir actually males me feel nauseous.

twilightcafe · 13/12/2020 16:45

Pomegranate Noir smells of cloves in me, so it reminds me of the dentist.
My current favourites are:
Grapefruit
Wood Sage and Sea Salt
Nutmeg and Ginger
Lime, Basil and Mandarin

JMAngel1 · 13/12/2020 16:59

Nectarine and Honey Blossom for Spring Summer
Basil and Neroli. Autumn Winter

Iusedtobeslimmerthanthis · 13/12/2020 17:00

Wild bluebell is my personal favourite - it’s just lovely.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 13/12/2020 19:25

BlackBerry and Bay.

What sort of scents do you like generally @SOmuchsparkle?

MaeveTheRave1 · 13/12/2020 19:34

Poppy and barley. Did like Pear & Freesia but lately find it very sweet. Pomegranate Noir too clovey and overpowering - received as a present and use as a christmassy room fragrance.

MaeveTheRave1 · 13/12/2020 19:35

Also love peony perfumes but the suede in JM doesn't suit me at all.

TinkersRucksack · 13/12/2020 19:41

154 cologne, very 'leathery'

mynameiscalypso · 13/12/2020 19:41

I used to like the Peony one but find it a bit overwhelming now. Current favourite is grapefruit although I don't think it has massive staying power (presuming you're wanting a perfume rather than one of the other products)

SOmuchsparkle · 13/12/2020 21:30

I like Bvlgari pour femme which has:
Top notes: bergamot, orange blossom
Heart notes: violet, sambac jasmine, jasmine tea, ylang ylang, mimosa, Prelude rose
Base notes: sandalwood, musk

I like the Zara / orange blossom created by JM

I like Chanel no.19 which has:
Top notes Green Notes, Bergamot and Neroli; middle notes are iris, Rose, Narcissus, Lily-of-the-Valley and Ylang-Ylang; base notes are oak moss, Vetiver, Leather and Sandalwood.

Have you had JMs before? If not, and looking at the perfumes you like already, you might find JMs disappointing, as they are linear, uncomplicated colognes rather than EdTs or EdPs in the main.

I like Woody Sea Salt and Sage but buy the Perfume Parlour dupe which lasts longer as it's not cologne.

TheSilentStars · 14/12/2020 06:24

You won't find a JM that is similar to a Chanel.
I think you'll like Lime Basil and Mandarin if you like orange notes.

EleanorRigbyWasReal · 14/12/2020 07:42

Any opinions on Velvet Rose and Oud? I have used Grapefruit in the summer for years.

@SOmuchsparkle, agree with those who say JM very linear. Those I’ve tried so far have been one dimensional. No dry down.

LegoPandemic · 14/12/2020 07:46

Orange blossom is my favourite. I have pomegranate noir but find it very heavy now. I also like peony and blush suede.
