Glossy box or Birchbox? Which one?

Thinking of treating myself to one of these for a few months in the new year.

I'm thinking that I would prefer treatment/hair items as I have a set routine with my make up, with the occasional make up bit.

So, my questions are.....

Which one is best?

Can you pause your subscription,, like hello fresh or gusto?

Can you set preferences?

I had Birchbox a few years ago and it was great, lots of natural skin care

Glossy box was mainly make up

I liked Birchbox more as I like the more natural brands they use

But ultimately I ended up with too much stuff I did not need

Why not go Beauty Pie?
Then you actually get products you want?
Too much waste with the other two.

I treated myself to Birchbox a year or so ago and really loved the little treats and different brands in there. A year was plenty though!
