Best cleanse, tone & moisturise sets

Just that really.. your recommendations on the best cleanse, tone & moisturise sets.

I've never had a great skincare routine. Currently only use Simple micellar water and Simple moisturiser. I'd say I have combination skin. It feels dry and tight if I don't moisturise, but I can get greasy in my T zone. Don't really get many spots, just the odd one now and then usually on my nose/chin.

Looking to treat myself to some nice new skincare products. Have seen some bits from Liz Earle and Clarins that have great ratings, but wanted some opinions before I jump in and make a purchase.

I bought the Liz Earle cleanse and polish set after a recommendation in here a few weeks ago and have been really impressed with it. Gets my face totally clean, without drying out.

Step away from Simple, awful stuff.
If you want to treat yourself then I second Liz Earle. There are always offers on bundles on the LE website. I love the original signature scented cleanser but some people don't like it. There's a lavender and neroli iirc one that is lovely too.

Basically, any cleanser will do (goes down the sink, spends 20 seconds on your face) but for a treat I love LE. Elemis is also good.

Liz Earle is great! And they usually do really good deals on their website. Anytime
I've ordered I've usually gotten something free alongside the cleans and polish set.

Would 100% recommend! Leaves my skin feeling very clean, and soft.

I've had an email just today-
15% off if you're a new customer (bundles are cheaper than buying separates anyway) and free priority delivery. If you spend £69 you get 3 free gifts too.

I know the sets you mention are geared towards beginners, but as a seasoned skincare user I would probably avoid them as you’ll get better results by buying separate but individually tailored products.

What are your skin concerns? What do you want to achieve?

Personally I have normal skin that leans towards dry/sensitive and skip toner. My skin is very good regardless though. I layer other serums like hyaluronic acid, vitamin c, a dark spot corrector etc so it just seems like an unnecessary step.

I also highly recommend using sunscreen daily, it’s such a fundamental step but the sets you’re after probably don’t include it! Essentially it protects your skin against sun damage and therefore can be used as a preventive ageing measure.

Sorry, I missed that paragraph of your post.

I haven’t tried much from Liz Earle or Clarins. I think the Kiehl’s Ultra facial cleanser and the matching moisturiser would work for you, the brand is similarly priced to the above.

Do you wear face coverings? Could explain the location of the breakouts. Try the ordinary salicylic acid.

RollneckJumper · 12/12/2020 18:56

Liz Earle seems like the way forward then. Thank you ladies.
@TheSilentStars - thanks so much for the 15% off tip!

@ScalpHelp - I'm 36, and I feel that look a bit tired after pregnancy. I have dark circles under my eyes. I really just want healthy looking skin and not to feel that I look so tired and old.
Other than face coverings throughout lockdown, I don't routinely wear them. I think I just get the odd breakout on my nose/chin as they are where most of the oil sits on my skin.

Ooh lovely.
I love the smell of the toner, it's neroli I thi k and so relaxing and the Superskin concentrate is a beautiful relaxing oil/serum.
I'm tempted but have 2 cleansers and 2 full toners from previous bundles.
Hope you like it!
