GHD hairdryer?

I’ve had the travel GHD travel hairdryer before, which was pretty good, I’m on the lookout for a new hairdryer now as my current one (just a babyliss one) is slowly dying.

I like the idea of getting another GHD one, I don’t mind the travel sized one as I managed with that, but how much better is the regular sized one to justify the extra money? I don’t know if can’t justify spending over £100 on a hairdryer!

It’s quite heavy, my hairdresser advised travel one as my hair is short but I went for the big one, on hindsight i should’ve listened to her!!

I love mine but do wait for a sale

No. Complete waste of money and way too heavy!

So after looking some more online, the GHD travel hair dryer isn’t ionic so that’s out. The regular sized one weighs in at 1.54 kg (approx) so that’s too heavy, heavier that what I have & that already makes my arm ache!

I’m looking at Parlux, which are more lightweight, but still costly.

And now I’m just discovering Diva - I’ve yet to see how much they weigh in at.

I have just changed from Parlux to a GHD Helios and i like it. More power than the parlux and dries my long hair faster. Would recommend.

Madbengalmum - is the GHD not heavy though?

I've got googley eyes looking at all these different hairdryers! I need something lightweight & ionic as my hair has been highlighted so it frizzes up. I don't want to spend £££ if its not going to give a wow factor. At the moment I'm using an old Babyliss one, pretty sure its ionic, about 8 yr old and weighs a ton (it has a AC motor). The GHD weighs almost twice as much!

Do I go for GHD and take the arm ache? My hair is quite thick and takes an age to dry! or go for the travel one, but isn't ionic. The Parlux seems to fit the bill - lightweight, ionic but if I'm not impressed, its costly. Diva seem reasonably priced but I can't find how much they weigh.

Harryandmarv, tbh I haven’t thought it feels particularly heavy. Certainly seems to have more power than my parlux and i had a top of the range one.

Madbengalmum · 12/12/2020 20:19

Too add, my latest parlux hasnr lastest anything like as long as my others, hence me trying a different brand. Ghd was more but i am pleased with it.

Hasn’t lasted!
