Where to get a girl's dressing gown?!

I was asked to get my niece a dressing gown from M&S. A nice pale bue one with white stars. However, it is sold out! So I ordered one quite similar from Amazon in grey but it's arrived and is AWFUL! Really cheap looking and thin. I can't give her it. But I've looked everywhere I can think of and the dressing gowns are either too babyish (she's 11 and won't appreciate cute unicorns, bear ears etc), or they are sold out. My budget is £20. Can anyone help? I appreciate it's not the most interesting topic so thank you if you've got this far.

I don't know what the situation is with shopping at Debenhams now but their dressing gowns are lovely and great quality.

Hello :)

ASOS and Very.co.uk have some nice dressing gowns.

MatildaonaWaltzer · 11/12/2020 09:19

2nd for Debenhams - literally the only thing I have ever bought from them!

Falcon1 · 11/12/2020 10:18

Thanks for your replies.

Debenham's non babyish dressing gowns are out of stock in her size - AHHH! Will check out Very - I didn't think ASOS did kids stuff??

My dd is 11 and can now wear women's size 6. You might find a better less cutesy range in the women's section if she's a giraffe like mine!

But came on the say Debenhams I'm gutted it's going just for them!

Next, h&m, asda, Sainsbury's, Matalan, boden, verbaudet.

I've been looking at dressing gowns for dsd - can you tell Xmas Grin

Minty82 · 11/12/2020 11:09

John Lewis usually has nice ones

HomeSliceKnowsBest · 11/12/2020 11:12

Joules.

Imtoooldforallthis · 11/12/2020 11:16

Have a look at Matalan

Lisa78Lemon · 11/12/2020 11:18

I got a lovely soft one for DN aged 15 from New Look. Midnight blue with stars. However this was a few years back, but I'd give them a try.

ScottishStottie · 11/12/2020 11:18

Sites like pretty little thing, or missguided might have nice ones, as pp said upthread, small womens size should wirk fine, especially for something like a dressing gown.

Falcon1 · 11/12/2020 11:57

Thanks for all your suggestions, however I am fast losing hope!

JL has sold out of all size 11s except one, which doesn't look very cosy. SHe wanted a fleecy one. New Look and Boden don't seem to have any dressing gowns. Joules are out of my price range. Matalan out of stock . Sainsbury's out of stock. H&M out of stock. Verbaudet too babyish. She's a tiny 11 year old so women's sizes wouldn't work unfortunately. Arghh!! Why did I leave this so late!

White company?

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 11/12/2020 12:55

Have you tried primark and supermarkets?

Falcon1 · 11/12/2020 13:02

Tweetypietwo, that Slumberhut one is PERFECT! Thank you so much, I've just ordered.

Really appreciate all the help everyone! Thank you.

Mine have got fat face ones and they are so cosy.

Rollergirl11 · 11/12/2020 13:06

Primark actually usually have a really good range of fleecy and fluffy PJ’s and robes.

Tweetypietwo · 11/12/2020 13:06

@Falcon1 no problem! Hope it is a nice quality and your neice likes it!

bobisbored · 13/12/2020 18:23

TK Maxx have lovely soft dressing gowns. I got my DD11 one, it's a small adults but fits fine.

anon444877 · 13/12/2020 18:38

I hate it when M&S sells out - they do lovely dressing gowns. They seem to have their stock all wrong. We've had lovely ones from boden, strange they have none this year.

I'd be inclined to go with the small women's one advice.
