Are you wearing the oversized look?

It looks great on the models but I am 5’4’’ with a slight build. I have just ordered an oversized black coat which is lovely but does swamp me. Is this a look the average person can wear?

I can’t pull it off either, partly I’m a bit short for it also I tend to have a scruffy vibe by nature so I need structure, plus my waist is my best bit and I don’t like hiding it.

I have wide shoulders, and cagey on with it at all, perhaps it's an age thing. My daughter is just 11, and is always wanting everything oversized. She looks great in oversized sweatshirts, I just look like the resident bag lady. I think to look good you need to be young, but it's comfy though.

I find most clothes are oversized on me anyway (slim 5'1") so don't have much choice. I don't like tight clothes in any case.

It is all very 80s - my youngest is stealing her dad's clothes and clinching them in at the waist with a wide belt, which I remember doing at her age. On a teen it looks amazing but not recommended for anyone older.

Agree I could pull it off when I was young (grunge era) but then I was prettier and carefree then so could’ve worn a bin bag

Unfortunately im too short and chunky to carry it off. Maybe an apple who is short and chubby could but im a big hourglass and it makes me look so much bigger, like 3 sizes bigger. I also look like i have given up rather than stylish. Sigh...

Im 63 ( well very soon will be!) Also have wide shoulders... but narrow hips ( maybe I am a bloke!) ...😂..... But Thanks for compliments .. I t feels like a good look for me.. and yes covers a multitude..

I just wore the oversized coat with new loose cropped cords which is a new style for me and I did feel a bit untidy although it was very comfortable!
