Chunky long cardigan with hood

Help me please style and beauty gang. I'm looking for a chunky knit, hooded, long (eg mid calf or longer) cardigan. I don't mind if it's buttons or open, but not waterfall (although I'd like it chunky enough that waterfall wouldn't work) - budget £50/60/70? I know you ladies are amazing at this so...,over to you!!

I was looking for something similar a few months ago but couldn't find anything with a hood. Ended up with two different cardigans from La Redoute. Both are slightly longer than calf length (I'm 5'8).

Gap and uniqlo

BringMeTea · 08/12/2020 16:48

I dunno but you could tweet Pep Guardiola. He finds them. Grin

@Uptoongirl ooh will check la redoute.

@nitgel and gap and Uniqlo

So far I've looked at next, new look, H&M, Zara, hush, toast, fat face... ASOS, Boohoo, Debenhams...

the only one I can find is on eBay for about 12.00 from one of these Chinese import companies where the reviews are terrible.

Simply be

You probably want to be googling hooded coatigans not cardigans

Chasingsquirrels · 08/12/2020 21:18

looks lovely, but pricy

cheap

I have similar to this but in grey can't find the shop now, but I'm onto my 3rd having for the 1st in TK Maxx for £50 and paid full price to replace since.

Chasingsquirrels · 08/12/2020 21:19

Actually, none of my links are long enough!

MrsMime · 08/12/2020 21:24

Silkfred has lots of chunky hooded cardigans. I've been looking for myself but never bought from there so not sure of quality.

WellThankyouAJPTaylor · 08/12/2020 21:49

I have two of ChasingSquirrels' first link. It's gorgeous and very warm but not calf-length, no. Im 5'6" and it comes down to just above my knees, or thereabouts.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 09/12/2020 14:11

@Chasingsquirrels thank you, but yes they aren't very long. I need them to be as long as I can possibly get away with without actually wearing a blanket!

@lentilsforlunch thanks, simply be is one I hadn't tried, because they only start at size 12. Does anyone know what their sizing is like? Eg. Could a SB 12 be a 10?

I have the Crofter Cardi in black from Free People: sorry, not letting me link to it. I love it but it wasn’t cheap.
