Trousers other than jeans

I like jeans and tend to wear them a lot at home, but I'm finding them increasingly uncomfortable.

Can anyone recommend some other informal trousers that are softer (not leggings)?

I am currently wearing some lovely cords from Seasalt. I also have a pair of moleskin trousers which I love, and a friend has bottle green velvet trousers which I covet.

It may be the cut/pattern that needs to change rather than the material?

I have two comfy pairs of cords from seasalt, Xiaxiong!

I really recommend GAP girlfriend jeans though. They are so soft.

You don't have to have them rolled up like this. They are normal length.

These cords from Boden are really comfy - and warm, as well.

It's the crotch that is uncomfortable, in old favourites as well as new ones.

I'm quite long-waisted, but the Boden cords are really well-proportioned so the crotch doesn't try and cut me in half.

Wearing them now. Ordered another pair yesterday. Smart enough that I wear them for work, but robust enough for dog-walking.

(And long enough in the leg even after washing: I bought some Next 'long' trousers in the summer which were fab at first and then bloody shrank in their first wash.)
