Christmas Day outfit

Share with me what you plan on wearing on Christmas Day. And also suggestions for me this year. Every year I say I will wear something nice, every year I wake up on the day and just chuck on the only half decent thing I own. I don't have a specific style in mind, could be a dress, could be leggings and a jumper, just something to make me feel a little bit more special! We won't be leaving the house so I will likely just be wearing slippers all day with said outfit!

Oh and I've just realised I should probably give a little more info to save drip feeding. I am 32, 5ft 6, size 10-12...I would say I'm fairly in proportion? Possibly slightly on the bustier side but I don't have an issue with wearing tight jumpers. Also not jeans as I live in jeans and wouldn't feel all that dressed up!

I've got a white jumper dress from uniqlo I'm going to wear with an old brown belt to give me some shape (then take off once I'm needing additional room due to eating half a tin of quality street). Its just me, dh and the dcs this year so didn't want to be glam, but I always wear something new at Christmas and this fits the day I'm having.

I want a jumper dress, but haven't yet found one I like.

Otherwise it'll be jeans and a 'nice' jumper.

embolass · 06/12/2020 16:25

Easy for me, working so it’s blue scrubs and mask Sad

Clettercletterthatsbetter · 06/12/2020 17:34

A similar thread on here had me convinced that I need a velvet jumpsuit to wear on Christmas Day. So I’ve ordered three from John Lewis in the hope one will look nice.

MrsEHB · 07/12/2020 08:06

@MargosKaftan @RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie it's likely I will end up with a jumper, I'll just have to take it off when cooking Xmas dinner as always end up too hot! I did see someone in a red jumper with white jeans which looked very festive (I know I said no jeans but I would never otherwise wear white so this may be acceptable). Or perhaps a cream jumper with leather look trousers? @embolass oh I'm sorry you won't be able to spend the day with your family, I hope you'll be able to make up for it on Boxing Day if you're off? @Clettercletterthatsbetter ooh a velvet jumpsuit sounds lovely, I've actually never worn a jumpsuit but if I can find one that doesn't look too 'going out' I might give it a try Smile

Full on sparkly t shirt dress from ASOS

Clettercletterthatsbetter · 07/12/2020 08:10

@MrsEHB if the jumpsuits don’t work out (they often don’t as I’m tall so can venture into camel-toe territory Shock), then I’ll probably wear leather-look coated leggings that I already own, and look for a suitably sparkly top.

I bought this in the sale at the start of lockdown and haven't had a chance to wear it it. So I think it'll be for Christmas for me. However I really hope it stil fits lol. www.oliverbonas.com/fashion/floral-print-sparkle-stripe-blue-mini-dress-252117

I'm in my late 20s and I'll probable wear it with heels and tights (and then kick my shoes off after we've taken some photos).

WouldBeGood · 07/12/2020 08:45

That’s pretty @Lyricallie

Twinkie01 · 07/12/2020 08:58

Reiss long pleated satin skirt and boden puff sleeved velvet t shirt. Both in navy with navy or nude shoes. We're going out to dinner so have to make a bit more of an effort.

@WouldBeGood Thanks! Smile
