Mid 40s, short 5'3, 14/16 with most weight on lower tummy and thighs. Average boobs and smaller waist.

No style at all. Seriously. Since March I've worn crappy joggers and jumpers.

Have some sensory issues with clothes which I've mentioned before so struggle with tight stuff, wool and man made fibres. Loves me a bit of jersey.

Can't do black. Warm colouring. Suit brighter colours especially green and blues.

I'd like a nice dress or something to wear for Christmas. Very much casual but in a stylish manner not a cba manner.

Longer length so I don't have to wear tights (obvs I would if I were leaving the house/being seen in public etc). But needs some shape as I'm short. Not against a pattern as long as I don't look like a sofa.

I know if I go to Boden I'm sure there will be something but I wanted to get some suggestions from other places. Budget up to £100 if it's the kind of thing you can wear and wear.

Think you're on your own with this one op.Grin. My sister sounds similar to you and she always gets something lovely from Debenhams. Don't know what will happen after they close. - I will be wearing a large silly Christmas jumper as we are not going out.

White Stuff have some lovely jersey interlock dresses. Plain and patterned that are also soft. Also Sea Salt.

Hah Missthedog. It's a bit of a tall order and not an interesting one....

@RosesAndHellebores thank you for that suggestion. I've never got on with White Stuff but actually think I may have found something AND it's in the sale. What is the sizing like generally? I appear to be between sizes in the dress I like (which is a wrap dress if it makes a difference)

I'd say I'm a size 15 and buy a 16 if that helps. Good luck
