What do you wear at home?

I know there's a show me what you're wearing today thread which set me wondering. Everyone seems out together well.

If you're at home, not expecting anyone, just pottering around, what do you wear? I normally wear comfy trousers, like pj bottoms and a tshirt, add a jumper if it's cold. I also have a couple of cats so there is car hairs around despite hoovering every other day.

I have lots of pretty clothes. I wear mostly dresses, only wear trousers to work, don't own jeans, find leggings uncomfortable to curl up on the sofa in, and hate wearing tights- only wear tights to work under my dress.

So just wondering what everyone else wears and the reasons for that.

ooh, I was just going to start a similar thread for ideas for my dil, with baby and toddler at home.

ParkheadParadise · 06/12/2020 00:58

Leggings and a hoodie.

hedwigismyowl · 06/12/2020 01:02

I love Joe Browns and Popsy (dresses with pockets) but have had little opportunity to wear them out due to lockdown. Kinda debating whether to start wearing them at home, but then thinking my legs will get cold. I wear socks, have lots of socks, love socks, but there's that gap between socks and dress= cold legs

Usually one of:
Low crotch harem trousers from Forgotten Tribes and a Henley
Very outsize t-shirt
Striped sweatshirt dress
Cottage core smock

AlwaysLatte · 06/12/2020 01:20

Usually jeans and a t shirt! But I do sometimes slouch about in my pjs till 10 or so on Sundays.

sofiaaaaaa · 06/12/2020 01:27

Cycling shorts, oversized tees, gym wear and cute co-ord loungewear sets

giggly · 06/12/2020 01:28

At the weekends skanky old paint splattered yoga pants and on a wfh day less skanky yoga type bottoms and a normal work top.inly person that sees my bottom half is the amazon delivery drivers😂😂

Schummakker · 06/12/2020 01:36

Yoga/casual fitness wear, light harem pants in summer and head to toe in cashmere for autumn/winter as it feels cosy and luxurious.

At the moment I’m living in joggers and a hoody. I’ve 2 pairs of the same, 2 one on, one in the wash ☺️

JamesMoriarty · 06/12/2020 16:12

Leggings with oversized sweatshirt or hoodie.

goteam · 06/12/2020 21:45

Baggy harems / joggers / lounge trousers, always in jersey fabric with a cotton t shirt (Rapanui are nice and comfy, no bra, cardigan or jumper if cold, flip flops or woolly socks. I also find leggings and tights a bit restrictive and jeans too. I don't consider them comfy wear but a lot of people seem to.

SingleHandSue · 06/12/2020 22:00

I’ve got some brilliant Costco joggers that are so soft and comfy and come up nice and high on my waist.

I wear them with loose long sleeve T-shirts usually.

HundredMilesAnHour · 06/12/2020 22:10

Right now I'm lounging on my sofa wearing black leather leggings and a grey wool hoody from Joseph. That's pretty standard for me although I may swap the hoody for a T-shirt / shirt /different jumper depending on how cold it is.

I don't own PJs or joggers, and I only wear gym clothes for actual exercise.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 06/12/2020 22:44

Working from home I wear jeans or cords and jumper/t-shirt and cardigan. Always do makeup/hair, wear jewellery as am on camera constantly (lecturer). Basically the sort of thing I would wear to meet a friend for lunch on a Saturday rather than my usual work clothes.

For just knocking about the house I have lounge pant things from John Lewis and M&S, which I wear with jumpers. Right now M&S leopard print trousers, with a black jumper from Hush, and Ugg type boots from Costco. In summer I wear leggings with a t-shirt, and flip flops.

BackforGood · 06/12/2020 22:59

Joggers or tracksuit bottoms or jeggings and a t-shirt or polo shirt and sweatshirt, fleece or hoodie. Slippers, or trainers if I've been out for a walk maybe.

habibihabibi · 07/12/2020 06:33

Summer :Denim shorts, flip flops and a t-shirt.
Winter Denim shorts, flip flops and a cotton sweatshirt.
Live in the Middle East.

Dresses are my wardrobe go to. Long sleeved ones this type of year. You just pop one over your head, or step into it, depending on the style and you are ready for almost anything in minutes. Well, maybe not climbing trees!

Daisy829 · 07/12/2020 08:13

Day to day for work..:jeans/jumper/top in summer I tend to wear shorts & top or dresses as I find them more comfortable
Lounging around I do have some matching lounge suits which I’ve just purchased although I’ll often wear my pjs.

lazylinguist · 07/12/2020 08:15

My dog walking clothes (Craghopper Kiwi Pro trousers and a long-sleeved t-shirt) until I've walked the dog. Jeans and a t-shirt/jumper after that if I'm not going to work that day.

I quite like the idea of some more loungey clothes, but can't seem to find any stylish ones that don't cost a fortune!

PurpleDaisies · 07/12/2020 08:20

Often I’m wearing gym kit because I’ve either done a class (online) or will be doing one.

I’ve got a one size too big denim mini skirt I like because it’s really comfy with black opaque tights and a jumper. I like leggings with a short dungaree dress, or jeans and a jumper. Nothing that will set the fashion world alight!

MaudesMum · 07/12/2020 08:23

Jeans and various layers in the winter/autumn/spring - usually with trainers.

Cropped jeans and less layers in the summer - usually with birkenstocks or trainers.
