Which ring? Gold or platinum

Admittedly very similar but which setting do you prefer, gold or platinum?

They both look yellow gold to me!

I would always go for platinum, personally.

I’d match the ring to the claw.

Platinum is stronger do better for the claw.

White claws with gold ring, assuming you're going for a gold wedding band. That's what I did... it looks good. Yellow claws are not great with a diamond.

Platinum is much stronger, I'd be worried about losing the stone with soft gold claws.

OP, that's what I've found, and that's what the jewellers said. Don't worry, it doesn't look noticeable at all that the claws are different from the band.

Yep, definitely platinum

The yellow gold claws will transfer a yellow hue to the diamond, so are often used if the diamond is slightly further down the colour scale. It's always better to go for platinum or white gold claws if the diamond is nice and white to ensure its shown off to full potential.
