Slouchy Grey Leather Handbag Help

I'm hunting for a new handbag but haven't found anything that's quite right yet. I know how incredibly helpful people here can be when it comes to this sort of thing.

Budget is £1000, the brief is:

  • Cross body (option at least)
  • Slouchy (probably)
  • Grey (or similar, definitely not navy or close to navy!)
  • Leather (or similar)
  • Medium size
  • Not bling-y
  • For day/casual use

My front runner at the moment is: www.mulberry.com/gb/shop/women/bags/shoulder-bags/small-millie-tote-solid-grey-heavy-grain

Only major concern with that one is the lack of pockets, it doesn't seem quite practical enough for the money and the everyday-ness of the style.

Has anyone out there seen anything that might be better?

(Please and thank you and all of those things!)

This sounded like what I bought earlier in the year, I had this:

www.tsatsas.com/product/cale-shoulder-bag-calfskin-leather-grey/

It's quite minimalist so only if you're into that kind of look. But I like this brand, it's non showy and interesting, quality is also good.

Ooh that's beautiful, thank you safetyzone, I like it very much. I was envisioning something with slightly more slouch but that is a lovely bag...

@safetyzone the link doesn't work. In my Android app, can you let me know the brand please? Thanks!

OP, have you looked at Chloe Marcie? They have a colour that used to be called 'cashmere grey' and though not super slouchy it ain't structured either. Has pockets!

The band is called tsatsas, I found it from Matches fashion website, who stocked a few models. Just really understated quality bags.

lonelySam Thanks for that tip, I've looked at the Chloe Marcie and while I like it, the style isn't quite right.

The kind of look I'm after is a bit less feminine. Clothing-wise it's (low-key, non-ridiculous) Rick Owens-y with lots of Isabel Marant Knitwear sort of vibe. (Though not all all ridiculously expensive designer stuff obviously)

And thanks Xiaoxiong, that's a great bag but I want crossbody, definitely not as short a strap as that.

Will be following. I’ve been searching for ages for a similar bag except it doesn’t necessarily have to be grey, and I want a zip closure and for it to be soft slouchy leather (so that mulberry one looks a bit hard).

OliviaSoprano · 05/12/2020 19:59

Ah good Anoisagusaris, please let me know if you find anything! I agree about the Mulberry potentially being a bit stiff. I'd like softer if possible. Am also not committed to grey, just something vaguely neutral and not black or white.

The Mulberry Daria satchel would have fit your bill, but they don't make them anymore, although you could probably find one preloved? I've got a dark green one, and it's my favourite handbag of all time.
