So I am just 40, like many others I am too busy with 3 kids and full time job to think about makeup, I have been using the same cheap foundation rose beige l'oreal foundation forever.

Now I look in the mirror or on my zoom calls and my eye bags are massive and dark, my skin seems to suck up the foundation and it doesn't look any good. (I use boots moisturiser no7).

Any hints and tips very much appreciated! ( I just bought the frog lipstick recommended on the other thread).

oh ....I also apply foundation with my hands like we did in the 90's, I just can't seem to get the hang of brushes.

I need serious help don't I?

What about a stick foundation?
There are a few makes from higher end Mac, Bobbi Brown to Max Factor or Revolution, a few if you google. Really easy, you just stroke it on then blend with your fingers & can apply a bit more on areas you want a bit more cover, like a concealer.
If you didn’t have an aversion to brushes, I’d have suggested Bare Minerals Original Foundation. Easy & looks really natural & good for your skin.

Just a thought. If you fancied trying Bare Minerals, they do a stick as well as the original mineral powder one & others, or any of the other brands they sell, you could order from QVC. Their website has videos on the products. That way you could try & return if not quite what you were wanting, no shop that I know will let you do that. They usually have a 30 day money back guarantee but at present it’s been extended to 60 days. You’re allowed to use the things, not just look at them. I’ve regularly ordered from them, they’re reliable & never had a problem with them.
