Where can I buy a lovely cashmere jumper?

I have quite a few but my 2 favourites are from Jaeger and The Outnet (DVF).
Both were expensive but I've had them for several years and the quality is excellent.
I've had cheaper ones which didn't last anywhere near as well, so I'd say it's worth investing in quality.

I’ve recently bought from John Lewis and am very happy with the quality. Used to always get M&S ones but the quality has declined IMO.

Anyone tried Massimo Dutti cashmere? Am tempted but not bought yet..

eBay if you're looking for a bargain

I have cashmere jumpers from Cos, Uniqlo and (weirdly!) Sweaty Betty. I am happy with all of them.

I like the look of these ?

I like cashmere but always buy second hand/repurposed cashmere e.g. Ebay, Depop, Vinted or Turtle Doves or ethically sourced cashmere if I can find it, as it can be a very cruel practice.

Cashmere is from torturing goats who scream in pain and fear from sharp metal scissors ripping out their fur and their legs are bent/broken to do this!!! Research before you buy!!!! And naturally the main culprit is China!!!

SparklingLime · 09/12/2020 11:13

Jesus, @nicky7654! No more cashmere for me, and I love it. Is it even ethical to buy it secondhand?

nicky7654 · 09/12/2020 11:27

@SparklingLime I wouldn't not after researching it and seeing photos. Breaks my heart how countries are so vile to animals!!

SparklingLime · 09/12/2020 12:12

Thanks, @nicky7654. I hadn’t thought about it at all until I read something recently, but I still didn’t realise it was that bad. Unthinkable.
