Hi, looking for a pair of walking shoes or trainers that are waterproof, something warm and cosy and waterproof! So fed up with the constant rain and I'm assuming we will have to be outdoors for the next while. Any recommendations?

I’ve got these Scarpa walking boots which are fantastic.

Not beautiful but I don’t care.

Go to Cotswold Outdoors. I despaired off getting a decent pair and then went there. Very professional advice, they checked for fit even on a slope. Expensive but incredible quality and comfort. I won't £110 and there are the best walking shoes I've bought

That’s where mine came from too. The staff were really helpful. A good pair of boots will last for years so they’re worth spending on.

Thanks, I will have a look on Cotswalds. Saw some nice Geox ones on Amazon too. Fed up having cold feet!!

These Isodry trainers from Mountain Warehouse cost me about £40 and I love them. Really waterproof - I walked up a flooded gorge in Yorkshire with dry feet! Yet my feet don't get sweaty in them.

I have Scarpa boots too. They are great, probably my best purchase this year. I bought them to replace an older pair of Scarpa's that lasted ten years. But the comfort of boots / shoes is quite dependent on your foot shape, so try on a few brands.

I got a pair of Peter Storm waterproof walking shoes from Blacks. Comfortable and waaterproof and they've been tested well. Combine them with good merino/alpaca socks and you'll stay warm too. About £40 from memory.
