To change my habit on feeling good

Would love anyone else's thoughts on this.

I've had the 'mantra' that as long as I dress well, have clean bright skin, natural healthy hair, I don't need to wear makeup or do my hair.

I've now come to realise that women who actually curl or blow dry their hair in some stylish way, wear makeup, but not worry so much about clothing, can look much out together.

What are your thoughts? How do you go about feeling groomed and like you put in some effort?

Should say 'put together' not much out together.

I believe in putting your energy into what you enjoy. In my case, this is clothes and I'll happily spend time and as much money as I can afford to get a look I like.

Make up on the other hand bores me more with every passing year. I resent pretty much every minute I spend on it and - apart from lipstick, which takes about 30 seconds and really makes a difference - I wear it less and less, especially since lockdown.

Hair is a compromise - I pay for a good cut every 6 weeks which means that the rest of the time I just wash, mess up and go.

Other women feel the exact opposite. Who looks better I don't know and, to be honest, I don't particularly care as I have no intention of doing what they do and they probably feel the same way about me.

I'm not sure how well that answers your question but there it is!
