Hi everyone

My 13 year old GHDs are sadly on their way out Sad but DH is stumping up £150 for a new pair for me for Christmas.

I am undecided between the Platinum+ and the Gold (I know, this is a full on, first world problem Confused). I was erring towards the Gold for price and I think they are slightly smaller. I have fine, thin hair.

Anyone have any thoughts on either? I don't really want to look at other brands as my current pair have been great.

Thanks

I know you don't want to look at other brands but....... I've had gods for years and I love them was completely devoted and then by accident I tried cloud 9. Honestly they are far superior.

My GHD gold have just come down with the red light of death, they’re just over 2 years old.

I’m going with Cloudnine this time, according to a few hairdresser friends they’re much better than GHD’s.

I know you say you’re not interested in other brands but GHD’s are not what they used to be, I’ve had them last 8 years before now, but the newer ones seem to pack up within 2 years.

I’m sure unread that GHD got bought out and are now rubbish and the technology behind them was taken over by Cloud 9. My GHDs from 2004 are still going strong but hearing that (from lots of sources) has made me think I’d go for Cloud 9 next time.

Cloud nine is owned by the original GHD founder.

Ok I'm going to take a look at the Cloud9s now!
