Not a massive fan of either as think they look cheap (don’t get me wrong, I’ve found some amazing shoes in NL before).

Because of this, I don’t think the patent will wear well over time and the plain ones will look battered quicker than the lace-ups.

The zip + laces is what makes that pair more on trend than the plain pair, so on balance I’d go with those.

I usually like lace up ankle boots but those look a bit pointy.

I've actually gone for the laces they feel better, bit more interesting and they will mostly go with smock dresses so works well
