Garner Ultimate Blends coconut water shampoo/conditioner - a range that my curly hair seemed to get along with - has been discontinued.

Once again I need to find a new one.
Can anyone recommend a good range? I stood in Tesco yesterday and every bloody bottle of conditioner I picked up had some -cone in it. All except from the Alberto Balsam ones.

This is the 3rd time this has happened to me over the last 10 years and it pees me right off 😕

I use Cantu Shea Butter shampoo and conditioner, I am fairly certain that’s silicone free.

ThatLibraryMiss · 02/12/2020 21:08

Happy Naturals shampoos and conditioners are SLS and -cone free, £4 from Sainsburys, Sainsbury's own Green Apple conditioner is CGM approved and a lot of people like XHC Ginger conditioner, £1 from pound shops, Savers and B&M.

Faith in nature and some ogx are silicone free

BluebellsGreenbells · 02/12/2020 21:50

Avon do one that’s quite cheap - own brand type in silicone free

Lloyds pharmacy also do one - it’s brown packaging with green writing it’s only £1 real bargain.

The new(ish) Herbal Essence one is pretty good and cheap.

PirateCatQueen · 03/12/2020 00:10

Faith in Nature. I’ve liked their coconut and fragrance free ranges in particular.

Nc135 · 03/12/2020 06:06

Incidentally why do you even want a silicone free product. Silicone makes my hair silky smooth. Anything silicone free makes me look like I have gone through a hedge backwards Grin

The Garnier Hair Food ones in the tubs don’t have silicone afaik.

Ogx has actually silicone even on their shampoo! I mean who does that?

Faith in nature is a great sls free shampoo. Other than that, there is a silicone free line from tresemme, Santu is worth a try too.

it like a yucky film that puts itself around the hair and it doesn't often wash out so builds up. Whilst in the short term, the hair is soft, long term use, esp if you are curly with dry hair (because many curly/dry hair products are loaded with silicone) , it causes build up and wrecks your hair.

TornadoOfSouls · 03/12/2020 07:35

L’Oréal Botanicals range is quite good.

Tweetypietwo · 03/12/2020 07:54

Pantene Hair Biology Cleanse & Reconstruct

Or

Pantene Grow Strong With Bamboo And Biotin

Don't think either of those has silicone!

Because it's not good for my curly, dry hair. It cactuses Unilever up and makes the dryness worse as the shampoo has to be stronger to remove it.

@curlyLJ so funny how our hair is all so different. If I don’t use silicone my hair looks like a frizzy dry mess Grin

LightOfAThousandStars · 03/12/2020 22:54

I use silicone free for my curly/wavy hair and the best range of affordable products are from the brand Noughty. You can get them on Amazon, Boots, Superdrug.
