It’s getting cold! What coat do I need?

I was absolutely freezing on today’s school run. The Merrell duffel I bought on recommendation from here about six years ago has given up the ghost, and I need a really warm coat. It needs to work school runs, the park, wandering round NT garden etc and probably the odd trip to town.

Any suggestions? I’m happy to pay up to £200-250 for. Coat that is really warm and well made, but would happily pay less. Also hoping to avoid duck down.

TIA

I don’t wear duck down/feathers either and have a really warm parka from Parka London (I actually got it in the sale for about half price!) and a puffer from Save the Duck, which is amazingly light and warm.

Thank-you sasuma. Not heard of either of those, so will take a peek now.

It’s probably not very trendy but I look awful in parkas or anything puffer style
My aged cashmere overcoats are very warm still (jaeger) and when it gets below freezing I do fake fur!

Very warm, not very exciting but therefore timeless puffa. No down - uses recycled plastic to make the insulation

North Face Artic Parka :)

Isn’t that down @Softpebbles?

@oops, just checked. Yes it is sorry. Ignore that suggestion.

Thanks everyone.

Some of these look perfect. I’m not really after stylish, as I am sick of putting style over warmth!

Didriksons coats are recommended on here a lot for warm and waterproof parkas.
