Workwear - if I like Reiss...

I’ve just started a new job that involves frequent client meetings. I don’t go into an office as I am home based but when I go out to clients I need to look smart.

I’m 28 and “into fashion” so I don’t want to always be in a suit. Any suggestions for stores similar to Reiss? I like a nice shirt dress and I’m particularly into colours like navy, burgundy, bottle green, grey. I look like a Victorian child with flu if I wear black.

Help!

@InJest I’ve just discovered Zalando, they have 40 pages of shirt dresses! It’s a dream come true Grin

There is a lot of polyester but also some gems in there, could be worth a browse

My work wardrobe is almost entirely Reiss, Massimo Dutti and Ted Baker (avoiding the florals) with a smattering of JCrew and Ralph Lauren.

I used to but a lot from jigsaw but quality is crap these days.

I was going to suggest the Fold, and Browns, LK Bennet ( but is their quality still as good?), Jigsaw and also a boutique the dressing room?

You may find it good to go into a local boutique and ask for a personal shopping session. When I was 'corporate' I had a personal shopping session with a local boutique, John Lewis and Banana Republic ( their work suits are great and good value). Each were really excellent and each worked to my budget. It was my first big promotion and I didn't want to worry about what I was wearing and I genuinely loved what was suggested for me from each.

@MrsA2017 for online boutiques try Atterley here which puts together stuff from different boutiques. Customer service is excellent

Winser London have a sale at the moment, normally very pricey but some good reductions

Jigsaw, Cos, Other Stories, some John Lewis own brand and a bit of H&M is where a lot of my smarter work clothes are from.

@User258544 they always seem to be struggling recently so very nervous for them as I really love them - nice PJs as well (not workwear!)

Me + Em if you like workwear that's more on the smart-casual side rather than too formal. Beautifully cut trousers and drapey tops.
