socks that don't end up half way down my feet!

All my socks seem to have suddenly started annoyingly slipping down and ending up bunched up in my shoes after I've worn them a while, especially if I'm wearing boots.

I've decided I'm going to throw them all out and start again (they are all quite old). Can anybody recommend some plain black ankle socks that stay where they're supposed to! Thanks

Hi. All socks did this to me until I discovered M&S boys thermal school socks. Warm and snug and stay put. They are a bit thicker though.

Knee length socks.

Try men's socks. They are a bit longer than women's. I bought some amazing striped cotton ones on eBay, but I dare say black is easier to come by. Good old Marks and Spencer springs to mind, though Sainsbury's or Tesco 's are pretty good.

I love these. They never slide down but they don't cut your circulation off to achieve that.

My current socks are M&S school socks, but not the thermal ones so I'll take a look. I have small feet (3.5) so doubt men's socks would be small enough. I might give the ebay ones a try, there quite cheap so not too bad if they don't do the job.
