Clarisonics and similar devices: how often do you use them

I have a Clarisonic knock-off. I use it with a creamy Nivea face wash. I only use it once a week or so because I'm conscious that over exfoliating is counterproductive.

At night I also alternate between lactic acid, retinol and vit c. So the brush is not my only exfoliator, although it is the only manual one.

If you do use similar brushes, how often do you use them? I also derma plane once a month or so.

My understanding using tools is harsher on skin and chemical exfoliation using acids is better. Didn't Clarisonic close down recently?

I didn't know about Clarisonic. I like using mine because it makes me feel like I've really cleaned my skin. What do you use to exfoliate?

I have been using either Paula's Bha or Clinique antiblemish toner which has salicylic acid I think. I buy it whenever I have spots. I tend to do this once in 3 days though as in winter my skin is drier. I alternate it with retinol (ordinary)

I think if it works I would keep using. Remember it was a big deal couple of years back and everyone had one. I couldn't afford it so never got one.

I don't get spots and have fairly dry skin. I'm just wondering whether, looking at the long term, I could use it more often, or should rein it back...
