Ideas for holding slouchy boots up

I bought some slouchy boots last year. These are similar.

They were great at first but now they just completely fall down all the time and puddle round my ankles. Has anybody found a reliable way to keep slouchy boots up once they have lost their form?

Im looking at buying another similar pair as I love them but is it just inevitable that they will fall down after a certain amount of wear?

Ive tried wearing leg warmers with them, so adding some bulk to them. That doesnt really work.

Erm .... how does that help? are you literally sticking them to your jeans?
