Would appreciate your opinions on which of these to go for:

I've wanted a pair for ages, and stupidly didn't buy from the kids section when they had my size.

These aren't the colour I originally wanted, but I'm swaying.

Has anyone seen them cheaper elsewhere? And can the DM regulars tell me what the sizing is like?

Thanks

I find the leather easier to break in than the patent. Mind you, I have ridiculously broad feet so you might not have the same issue.

Sizing is pretty spot on - although with DM Chelsea boots I had to size up.

I was going to say the same about leather vs patent. Otherwise, black, more versatile

Thanks. I'm worried I'll look like an overgrown toddler in the patent ones, and not sure if the patent wears well or will crack?

I might order both and decide from there

I like the black ones. As for price, I saw on the Christmas bargains thread a £35 off a £70 spend for new customers at Very. I think it was that. I'll go check.

QYYHP is the code. You have to open a credit account though. You can pay in full.

I've just used a £50 off a £150 code and it worked.

The patent does eventually crack in my experience, though keeping it oiled with something such as ‘Wonder Balsam’ and avoiding leaving your docs near a source of heat like a radiator should help.

waterpalava · 28/11/2020 22:41

Thanks so much @Awrite, but I'm keeping a tight grip on my credit history just now as I've not long paid off my cc and will be applying for a new mortgage in a few months. Really appreciate you doing that though.

You are welcome @waterpalava. I just ordered the teenager's Docs for Christmas. Vegan ones no less. The cost hurt, even with the money off.
