Max & Co sizing

Having saved for ages I'm considering getting a Max & Co coat this winter. Does anyone have one and have any ideas about how the sizing is? I did the 'find your size' thing on the website and it put me at a 40 but that doesn't seem right (I'm 5'7, size 8-10, 32' bust and 26' waist). I'm looking at one of the belted styles.

Ah apparently a UK 8 is an Italian 40?

Yes, Italian sizes are different. I am a UK 10 and take a 42 in Max and Co., so that sounds about right.

I'm 5'10, size 8-10 and bought a Max & co belted coat a couple of years ago in a 38 (style is called runaway, still sold just in different colours) On the label it says 38 / UK8. I was tossing up between the 38/40 in the shop, and was concerned that the 38 would be a little tight across the shoulders but the friend I was with said go for the 38. I honestly think either would have been absolutely fine, 40 if you want to wear super chunky jumpers/ have wide shoulders for your frame/have a bust! I'm still not entirely sure I made the right choice tbh, but the coats are great quality and lovely fabric. I've just done their online fit calculator and it recommends 42 for me btw!

Thank you - I have ordered the runaway!

I plumped for the 40 in the end - I am quite petite on top but walk everywhere and so in winter I do tend to wear thick jumpers and it's a good fit! It looks fab on.
