Help! I’m getting ‘turkey neck’ at 43!

Are there any clinically proven serums/creams that people have also found work in real life that could firm up my crepey-looking neck? Doubly worried as I’m losing weight, so the fat currently there will disappear soon and I’ll look like I’m ready for Christmas! 🦃

I'm 46 and had quite deep necklace lines on my neck. I bought Retinol serum from Amazon and use it every night, after about 2 weeks they virtually disappeared, as did a few old acne scars. Highly recommended!

I hear you OP!

I’m 43 and have lost a lot of weight recently (in a good way). My turkey neck was bad at the beginning, got worse when I was losing weight and I slathered on clarins neck cream. I’ve reached a normal weight and it seems to have reduced a lot but I can’t be sure if that’s clarins or the weight loss.

RETINOL!
Seriously it's amazing, gets rid of wrinkles, acne and scars!

Greentea93 · 27/11/2020 22:48

I’ve been using Sunday Riley Retinol cream for a few weeks now and my neck lines haven’t changed a bit
Not even sure it works on my face leuke I was expecting too much 😭

Greentea93 · 27/11/2020 22:49

*maybe!

Do you have a link for the exact one you are using? This sounds like a miracle product!
IRunLikeJoeBiden · 28/11/2020 03:35

My neck is horrendous. Baggy rather than necklace lines. Ugh.

ZaraCarmichaelshighheels · 28/11/2020 03:40

Turkey neck is different to necklace lines, turkey neck is saggy skin, much harder to treat.

Blondie1984 · 28/11/2020 04:02

Pray do one that has amazing reviews

Blondie1984 · 28/11/2020 04:02

JontyDoggle37 · 28/11/2020 08:58

I've got and I'm 33 Sad I'm getting a thread lift

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/11/2020 11:42

Retinol and red light led. Daily sunblock spf 50, all day every day rain or shine even if you aren’t going out.

I have no neck lines at 43. I’ve worn sunblock religiously since I was 22yo thanks to Newby Hands when she was Harper’s and Queen beauty editor.

CanICelebrate · 28/11/2020 11:58

@FreshfieldsGal can you put a link on to the one you use as I’ve looked on Amazon and there are loads

IRunLikeJoeBiden · 28/11/2020 12:26

@Fluffycloudland77 will that do anything for a baggy neck that hangs down, or is surgery the only way to go?

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/11/2020 12:34

Not if it’s really baggy no. Have you lost weight?.

ineedsun · 28/11/2020 13:30

I'm no help but my son (who has Learning disabilities and is autistic - relevant because he just says what's in his head) and I were talking about how smoking gives you wrinkles and that I gave up nearly twenty years ago, he said yes you're very wrinkly on your neck. 😂. Out of the mouths of babes.

IRunLikeJoeBiden · 28/11/2020 13:46

Only about a stone, Fluffy. I’m still overweight though.

Cyb · 28/11/2020 16:06

I’ve been using it for a fortnight - it’s very very good. Not for tightening but for getting rid of crepeyness. Think my horizontal crevices might be diminishing too

IRunLikeJoeBiden · 29/11/2020 03:11

Which one, @Cyb?

MaidClarion · 29/11/2020 06:41

Not so much baggy skin here but those Deirdre Barlow (god love her) ‘strings’
What’s that about?
My friend swears its from carrying heavy bags on shoulders and babes in arms for years and years☹️

SophocIestheFox · 29/11/2020 06:46

Me too, it’s depressing. I can’t look at anything else on zoom!

I had to stop using retinol as it makes my skin too sun sensitive.

Are there surgical options?

Cyb · 29/11/2020 08:44

Prai £20 ish from Look Fantastic

OhioOhioOhio · 29/11/2020 08:46

Yeah I'd like the link too please.
