Has anyone waxed Uggs or Ugg-style boots? What did you use? How did it work out?

I was trying to work out how you would combine Uggs with hair removal. I did see pedicure Uggs in NYC.

Do you mean spraying them with a suede protector? I think actually waxing them, like if you were reproofing a wax jacket, would be disastrous. But a waterproofing spray would be ok, I’ve used one on boots. Just buy one that’s suitable for whatever they are made off (I assume you mean sheepskin ones?). And don’t expect them to be waterproof, just a more water resistant than they would be otherwise.

GrinGrinGrin The mind boggles!

I do mean wax, like beeswax. I'm not hugely bothered about preserving the suede texture, and I'd rather they had good weather-resistance. The spray is never really satisfactory, and I'm sure it's not good for the environment.

I think it depends which spray you use, some of the outdoor clothing companies have versions which seem to be free of various things. But if you're not bothered about preserving the texture then it's worth a try, it should hold the wax I would have thought.
