Any good reductions on cashmere?

I keep wearing an old cashmere sweater (which is felted and holey, it's 25 years old) as it's the most comfortable thing I own (I'm unwell) but I look very scruffy. For Christmas I only want a black cashmere crew neck, but as they're pricey has anyone seen any incredible offers?

Jigsaw currently 25% off. I thought about the pink but can’t justify another one. Theirs are quite lofty though - I wear mine all the time but can’t see them lasting 25 years.

Otherplans · 27/11/2020 12:24

That looks promising. Soft and lofty would fit the bill.

Uniqlo have a cashmere sale on

ChelseaCat · 27/11/2020 12:55

Future

Outwithreason · 27/11/2020 13:06

H & M have 20% and have some nice cashmere items, although I don't know what the quality is like. Filter Women - Premium.

Hoppinggreen · 27/11/2020 13:08

Boden is 30% off I think and Uniqlo has a sale on too

Otherplans · 27/11/2020 13:11

Thank you. I'll investigate the links, lots of choice! Never thought of HM and hadn't heard of Future.

That looks ideal MrsTwitcher. Reviews are good. We may have a winner Smile

Did you find anything you were happy with OP? I'm tempted to get a Uniqlo.

Sexnotgender · 27/11/2020 18:44

Try this:

Wagsandclaws · 27/11/2020 18:57

I've just bought some Tesco cashmere - it's actually really good quality, they have scarves and jumpers of all colours.

Otherplans · 27/11/2020 19:43

Apileofballyhoo I'm still thinking but may go with uniqlo.
Sexnotgender I like the idea of preloved, if I can get the right size
Wagsandclaws that's a really good idea but I can't get to a store as I'm shielding. It's a shame they stopped selling online.

Try Pure Cashmere, although I think the quality has gone down in the last 11 years.

Supersimkin2 · 27/11/2020 22:35

Uniqlo is way the best and cheapest.

Chillichutney1 · 28/11/2020 09:02

Have a look at secondhand stuff, always great bargains on cashmere and you can go for quality thick cashmere like Brora, Hobbs

Martinisarebetterdirty · 28/11/2020 09:21

If you want it to last go for Brora - they have a clearance section which makes it slightly less eye watering.

AnaViaSalamanca · 28/11/2020 09:26

So, boden ones are scratchier than wool.

jigsaw ones are huge. I bought my usual size and had to return it as I looked like a kid wearing her dad's jumper. Super soft and heavy though.

Otherplans · 28/11/2020 13:08

Pure, Brora and Hobbs may be out of my price range even secondhand and in clearance (though they are gorgeous). I'll look for second-hand if I can get exactly what I want. Thanks for the Boden and Jigsaw warning! It's complicated for me to return anything at the moment.

Otherwise I may indeed go for Uniqlo Supersimkin2
