What do you or don’t you like about this style which is set to make a comeback due to the Diana portrayal in The Crown? I love so much about the original look that the young Diana exemplified: knitwear, ballet pumps, pearls etc.

I think there's a fine line not to look dowdy. Twin sets I'd say are a no no unless very young and slim. Skinny Jean's, fine knit sweaters with ballet pumps and a nice blazer are timeless looking

It easily veers into frump territory. I'm not sure why young people want to look like their parents either; I wouldn't have wanted to in the 80s and would have been mortified if I had.

I don't really think it did Diana any massive favours and that she looked better when she branched out and did her own thing with a much sleeker style. Each to their own though.
