Knickers

I love the triumph amourette maxi briefs, they are comfortable they don’t hurt my c section scar, they don’t ride up my bum and they hold in my slightly wobbly “pouch” which makes me feel good in clothes but they are £22 a pair and that means I can buy many. Does anyone have any recommendations for other knickers like this? I don’t want control pants that dig in my bum, I just want my pouch holding in a bit and then comfort everywhere. I wish they were cheaper Sad

If it’s any consolation they are mow reduced to Around £16 on Triumph’s own site. And for once, a decent range of colours rather than the boring white, beige and, maybe, black if you’re lucky.

I think if you have found the knix that suit you, if you try and compromise, particularly with something that has less stretch you’ll regret it.

Thanks Straight, it’s the black ones I want, they are always full price!

OP, l’ll forgive you for calling me straight! I was looking at bras on the site and thought l had found you an almost bargain.

Personally, l think knix are like the foundations of a house, vital to get it right (l like soft stretch lace Brazillian cut but appreciate you want something different) so if you have something that’s right for you, l’d give up that new pair of jeans or Christmas dress and go for the knickers instead. Don’t compromise on what lies beneath it all.

Sloggi and triumph are the same company is there anything in their range of multi packs which might suit? I look on eBay at outlet shops for slightly better prices and will often take the off colours and dye them black. (Dylan machine dye about £7)

Yes I think you are right starlight, I only ever really feel comforting in an outfit if the underwear is right. I didn’t realise sloggi were the same co Menai, I will definitely have a look. Thanks guys

How many pairs of knickers do you need? Buy one at a time when you can, you'll soon have enough. IME buying a cheaper version of what you really want is rarely a cost saver, you end up buying it in the end anyway. Better to wait until you can buy what you want and to make do with what you have until then.

Just because things are produced by the same company does not mean it is a similar product;think Peacocks and Jaeger.

Sloggi seem to be the marmite of knickers. For me, they had almost no stretch and felt like wearing a nappy. The nappy thought was added to, when l saw myself in the mirror in them.

PS: As for how many knickers do you need? Lots. I have to feel right each day. I always buy 2 matching pairs (often different styles) with a new bra and lots of others.

I always check myself out in the mirror each day before the top layers go on, l need to feel good about what’s underneath too.

I’ve just bought some Forever Comfort shorts from Next, they’re £8 a pair but on 3 for 2. Not sure if they’re similar to what you want but I find them so soft and comfy without being too frumpy looking.
