wwyd

hasnt actually happened but feel like i lack the basics after doing 2019 as a no buy year and then weight loss and change in style has left me not having much in my wardrobe, i currently only have 2 jeans and 4 dresses!

So your budget is £500, what do you get and why

I’d aim for:

Black sheath dress
Dark denim skinny jeans
Black Wool coat
Tan puffy jacket
Brown suede ankle boots
One solid color skirt above knee
One black cardigan
One chunky jumper
2 scarves (one black and white, the other with multiple colors)
Long sleeve v neck shirt
short sleeve v neck shirt
One longer white button down shirt
Tights
Stretchy pants

I’d get as much as possible on eBay NWT.

That’s was pre-Covid before I worked at home full-time. Now I mainly need stretchy pants and warm sweaters. Grin

£100 for a new pair of boots. £100 for a new coat. £50 for new trainers, last years Adidas/New Balance probably. £50 bras, knickers, tights & socks at Primark. Leaves me with £200 for the charity shops.

I'd get clothes from eg good will stores, a lot cheaper and a mix of styles, rather than paying full retail price.

Some basics tops from Ninety Percent- three would set me back about- £105
I got a couple of henleys as a present three years ago. Wear them all the time snd they still look brand new. Excellent quality, 90% of profits go to good causes, they have a really conditions for their workers.

Some harems from Forgotten Tribes- 3 pairs would be £60
So comfortable and versatile. I just live in them now.

Three Falke Madison Sports bras- very comfortable and long lasting for everyday wear- £95

Three pairs of Boody Hipster Bikini knickers- £27
Soft and comfortable as well as long lasting.

I’ve bought three of each of the basics as that’s an ok number to rotate if you do 2-3 washes a week.

Pair of All Birds Mizzles High tops-£130
Very soft and comfy like trainers, but also waterproof so very versatile.

Pair of Birkenstock Arizona Soft Footbeds- £40 (just bought a pair in the Schuh sale for this- grey with orange buckles)
So comfortable and they look great with the harems.

Keela jacket, probably a teenage boy one to save a few quid- £65
Made in Scotland by the company that supplies mountain rescue. Good quality and everything is really easy to move in.

To be honest, it’s pretty much based on what I’ve actually worn this year.

I only shop in charity shops so could get loads for my money, have a look at Oxfam Online.
