Anyone think snag tights are overrated?

Recently received an order of these after reading so many rave reviews. Simple black 80denier.
They are nowhere near as good as the reviews suggest. Horrible, shiny tights, very sheer for 80 denier. Unsupportive fabric so no nice smoothing effect. The patchy sheer effect is like wearing condoms for tights.
Size 12 so no mad sizing issues. They aren’t stretched out, they seem to fit , they’re just so disappointing. Why are they so popular ?
They’re very soft but feel as though they will indeed snag at the slightest fingernail.
Usually I buy falke/ m&s/ aristoc/ even primark.
At the online reviews just some cult marketing ploy?
And my legs feel chilly.
Recommend me some beautiful tights !

I love my Snag tights, but find they come up really big. Their size chart measures me as a D but I wear a C.

I just find them quite uninspiring. Yes, they do bright colours but I like really thick tights with patterns. White Stuff do some lovely designs. I'm currently wearing navy with mustard spots and they are thick/cotton mix.

No I absolutely love mine, i still have 2 pairs bought well over 18 moths ago and they still look great, department shop tights lasted a week at best. Also the don’t roll down which I love.

superram · 25/11/2020 17:12

I love them and am gutted the sparkles have sold out.

wasgoingmadinthecountry · 25/11/2020 17:19

I like them but they are not for "best". I have them for work (teacher) because I'm tall and other ones rarely stay up all day. I wear them under long dresses/boots etc. I like M and S Autograph tights for when I want my legs to look a bit more glam!

DontBeShelfish · 25/11/2020 21:12

I was underwhelmed. I'm 5' 8 so not particularly tall and whilst one pair came up to the required length, the other did not. I was walking home from work and by the time I got home they were practically round my knees! Also, the first day I wore them they sprang a hole in the toe.

In fairness they did offer me a replacement but I didn't want to get another substandard pair.

NewLockdownNewMe · 25/11/2020 21:17

I love them - but as others have said, I can’t walk in to a high street shop and buy ones I’m happy with. They’re not the most amazing quality tights but I’m happy with the quality for the price. They make zero claims to be shaping, so I don’t think it’s fair to claim that they’re not!

NewLockdownNewMe · 25/11/2020 21:19

I don’t think it’s fair to complain* that they’re not.

plumpootle · 25/11/2020 21:21

Underwhelmed. They don't feel that great, bobbled quickly and worst of all...they fall down like every other pair of tights I've tried Sad

argueifnecessary · 25/11/2020 21:25

I was so disappointed with mine. The colour was nice but that was the only positive. They kept falling down so that I got a really bad thigh chafing and they made me sweat. Totally unbreathable and therefore also cold because they seemed to hold a layer of sweat under them and then the sweat got cold like jelly.

I wish someone made leggings with feet that were any good and obviously Made from cotton. I would buy those. No more synthetic sh** for me.

RuudGullitOnAShed · 25/11/2020 21:27

I love mine - I'm short and tubby and they are the only tights I have ever owned that don't roll down around the waist.

MrsBennetsnerves · 27/11/2020 00:49

They fitted me better than most tights (I'm tall). I didn't notice any shine at all in the grey 80 deniers - I haven't tried any other colours. The one thing I disliked was that that they made me sweat. I wish they'd make them in a cotton variant.
