Apex mini facelift - has anyone had it done or knows about it?

I was wondering if anyone has any information or experience about the Apex mini facelift ‘invented’ by Dr Darrel Coombes at The Laser & Skin clinic (Worthing, not far from London).
Following a recommendation here on Mumsnet,
I am about to arrange a consultation with Mr Coombs to discuss this procedure - which is a mild plastic surgery (local anaesthetic) to lift the jowls Shock.

Before paying his £200 fee I would like to share a burning doubt with you. The Laser & Skin clinic quoted £2,500 for the treatment inc after care, whereas a couple of renowned clinics in London with top rated/experienced plastic surgeons quoted around £8,000. Whilst I’m over the moon to have found something I can only just afford, this makes me doubt: perhaps the treatment Coombs does, the Apex, differs from the usual more expensive one?
I shouldn’t think it does, judging from the extensive research I’ve done but we’re talking 3 times less than London's prices! And Worthing isn’t that far from London anyway to justify it.
Any insights or comments will be greatly appreciate!

I thought of posting in this thread to update everyone asking me on PM.

So I did have a consultation with Dr Coombs last January. He advised me to wait as in his opinion I don’t need to go through this treatment just yet. (I’m 46/47)). He showed me a few before/after pictures of ladies same age as me and the result reflected what I want to achieve. However, he said that even though I’d achieve that I wouldn’t be ‘wowed’ because the change will be minimal.

Admittedly he gave me a sparkling dose of confidence boost for the day, but I came to the same conclusion and opted for fillers instead, which I’m happy with. Hoping the price won’t go up too much in the next couple of years as that’s the max I can afford to spend on it!
Also, I think what he truly meant and probably what all surgeons want is ultimately for patients to be elated at the results and leave great reviews - so I guess covering their professional interests in the long run.

He is a friendly and affable doctor and my experience of the Worthing clinic overall was definitely positive.

All the best to all and please ladies keep posting updates here! @jodashann let me know how it goes for you, that’s exciting!
😘 Flowers

I’d be interested to hear about your experience @Jodashann and what the mini facelift entails. I looked at his site recently and thought it looked like it was a thread lift?

Debs2009 · 30/03/2021 01:26

Yes that’s what I’m thinking-is it a threadlift or is it a ‘mini lift’? Would be great to know because on his site he doesn’t actually say what it is!

Hi, I would like to know about a facelift for my sister? Can anyone share their experience?
