Kojic / ascorbic / azelaic - treating melasma

I'm not sure which to go for - Has anyone had any success in reducing melasma hyperpigmentation with one of these?

Not melasma but I've been using Medik8 white balancing serum for my pigmentation. Not huge results yet but think it has gradually improved a little. It has vit c and resveratrol in.
