What would you wear with this skirt?

I was expecting to hate it on me, but actually I really like it- I feel like an elegant ballerina! Even DH said it was lovely. So I’m going to keep it for Christmas.

I’m not sure what to wear with it though? I have a fitted (plain black) long sleeved top that might work. Any other ideas?

I’m early 30s, size 8-10, with pale skin and brown hair.

I would go with a chunky jumper with that tbh. Chunky and fluffy/cashmere-y though, and slightly cropped and/or fitted. I love the contrast of glitzy skirt and daytime jumper, though of course if you’re only planning on wearing it to a fancy party just go with a simple elegant black scoop neck top! With your slim figure it sounds like you can wear something chunky so I would do that! Love the aubergine colour suggestion, so if there’s a chunky mohair aubergine sweater anywhere snap it up! But black would be nice too.

I'd go for a fine knit jumper. Black would obviously be great but personally I think I'd go for a white/cream because I like a softer look.

That is lovely! I'd go with black or claret. A fitted long sleeve top or light jumper type affair.

If you're going with a fitted top, which would look lovely, I'd also look for a really nice belt because the way it looks on the woman in the photo, the waist is a bit meh. You're also lovely and slender, so a slightly cinched waist would look great. I'd go for black or a rich jewel colour.

I think a white top, either leotard type thing or cami/long sleeve fitted top or cosy jumper. Lots of options, both dark & light!

I think black fitted top too and maybe a cropped black cashmere cardigan. It might work with something cream or burgundy, but I find it easiest to visualise with black.

This kind of shape, for full ballerina.

I’d wear it with a dark green long sleeved top - possibly with a polo neck or turtle neck. Slim fitting, cotton.

For the evening I’d wear it with a black top with short sleeves.

I think a plain top would compliment the skirt best and give that kind of ballerina look.

Bit too much sparkle for me bit do love it.
