Any fans? Please could you describe it for me? Tia

I wore this and only this in my 20s. Do you know what #5 and Chance smell like? This is lighter than #5 but a bit heavier than Chance. A bit sweet but not cloying. It's really hard to describe smells, I'm struggling! It's lovely though, and lasts a long time. I used to spritz the air once and walk through, and found that enough to last the day.

ParkheadParadise · 23/11/2020 13:03

I love it BUT don't ask me to describe it😂😂

Bluesheep8 · 23/11/2020 13:10

I love patchouli and have read that it's in this, but I don't want sweet and flowery...

Very distinctive, warm, almost chocolatey, a little musky - hard to describe but its gorgeous

YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 23/11/2020 13:14

It’s sweet but not sugary or flowery - got a bit more omph to it. I find it to be an evening perfume. I dislike Chance but love No5 and No19. I actually prefer the original Coco - it’s heavier on the deeper, muskier notes.

merlotormalbec · 23/11/2020 13:17

This was my wedding perfume. I much prefer Chanel chance and wish I'd stuck with that for the day!

Imtoooldforallthis · 23/11/2020 13:27

I love it, but I can't describe it either, I buy the body mist as I can't afford the perfume. Also I don't think the Aldi or Lidl copy smells anything like it.

ZombieVoicedAdam · 23/11/2020 14:21

The PERFUMES A-Z Guide gives it 4 stars, here's what Luca Turin says about it if you can make head nor tail
of it!

Coco Mademoiselle....
Popcornismandatory · 23/11/2020 14:49

One of my favourite perfumes but can't describe it either I'm afraid!

nemeton · 23/11/2020 14:55

zombie I think that's what they call a backhanded compliment?
I really like CM- DD has some (that I got her) otherwise I'd wear it myself. I wear Allure.

Bluesheep8 · 23/11/2020 14:59

Thank you all for the replies. Interesting that the review mentioned Angel, as I love that

I wear this as my special occasion perfume and wore it on my wedding day. I have the body wash and body lotion too for layering. I cannot abide sweet/florals in perfume. This is hard to describe but it’s definitely musky with a hint of floral (rather than spice) but it’s not over powering or ‘heavy’.

AriesTheRam · 23/11/2020 15:36

Floral,expensive, soapy,clean

TweeterandtheMonkeyman · 23/11/2020 15:39

I find it very distinctive- as in I always seem to smell it on people and instantly recognise it, rather than just thinking - oh you smell nice. I like it but I think it’s a bit obvious .
It smells like an expensive hairdressers

TweeterandtheMonkeyman · 23/11/2020 15:40

@AriesTheRam x post ! Yes expensive and soapy Grin

lookdeepintotheparka · 23/11/2020 18:52

I really disliked it at first sniff so I don't think it's a blind buy!! Absolutely love it now - it really grew on me over time and I bought a bottle last year.

Personally I find the Lidl 'Suddenly Madam Glamour' dupe quite close to the original so is well worth trying out first. It just doesn't last as long. I have a bottle of the Lidl perfume in my desk to top up if I wear CM to work Smile

BaconAndAvocado · 23/11/2020 19:05

lookdeep I agree re the Lidl dupe but I personally find it lasts just as long.

WellTidy · 23/11/2020 19:28

I think it’s quite heavy. It’s also unmistakeable, it’s always very obvious what it is when you smell it. Not subtle.

LaurieSchafferIsAllBitterNow · 23/11/2020 19:32

I tried it once and didn't like it, but have used the Madame Glamour which I do like, and have been asked if I am wearing Coco Mademoiselle...so not sure what that is all about!

ChiefClerkDrumknott · 23/11/2020 19:35

I love it and am another who wore it on my wedding day. People often comment on how nice I smell when wearing it, although I usually smell of horse so I’m not sure if I can be taken as a measure of how good it is Grin

MrsPatterson2014 · 23/11/2020 19:39

People always compliment me on it, whenever I wear it.

FolkSongSweet · 23/11/2020 19:41

Like another pp this was my perfume of my 20s - loved it! It’s not overly sweet, has a heaviness behind it. I don’t wear it anymore only because I got a bit sick of it, but you’ve made me want to dig it out again!

FredtheFerret · 23/11/2020 19:43

I absolutely love it. It's my favourite perfume ever and I wear it all the time.

ShitXmasCracker · 23/11/2020 20:37

It’s popular for a reason. Very versatile fragrance. Citrusy opening, gets a bit sweeter and more flowery, then dries down to patchouli and musk. Very long lasting.

The ‘Intense’ flanker is gorgeous, too. Smoother, warmer, a touch of vanilla.

crotoneyedjoe · 24/11/2020 08:48

If you do get it, there's no need to 'top up' during the day, honestly. It's a concentrated scent and lasts all day even with a tiny spritz. Sometimes people get nose blindness and don't realise how much perfume they have on already 👃🏼
