Josh Wood Colour 'Shade shot'

Any hairdressers around? What is the 'Shade shot' JWC are selling? Apparently you mix it with colour? What's the difference between that and say, Fanola anti-orange shampoo, for the Icy Blonde? Could I put a dollop of said Fanola anti-orange in with my Nice n' Easy box dye to get the same effect?
I am confused, please enlighten!

I’m not a hairdresser but I got free samples of two different shade shots earlier this year, so tried them both with my chosen hair dye and couldn’t tell any difference between either of them. In fact, I think I actually preferred the colour I got when I first used JW hair dye with no shade shot added at all. Grin

Thank you for posting Smile
I have tried JWC and Icy Blonde shot, the colour itself didn't cover the greys as well as the Nice n' Easy, but did add a nice ash-blonde tone.
I really need to know if the said shot is just blue shampoo that is added whilst colouring the hair?
What would happen if I added a blob of Fanela blue shampoo to the bottle of N'E colour dye? Would I turn green?

I think it’s a toner, no?
