How on earth do I get used to my face without glasses?

I've just started wearing contact lenses as my glasses were getting thicker (and more expensive!). I've worn glasses since I was 8, so my 32 year old face is something I've never seen with clear vision. I think I look weird and my eyes look tiny.
Any tips on making my eyes look bigger and my undereyes look less prominent (more lines/little bit of darkness). I feel like my face is naked!

I remember when I first got contacts when I was 18 thinking that my eyes were too small too. Of course they weren't they were just regular sized and always had been and always will be! I think you just need to to get used to your 'normal' face without glasses distorting the look of your eye shape/size. But a quick fix would be to get your eyebrows professionally done and get some false eyelash effect mascara - Benefit do a good one.

I recently went through laser eye surgery and it was very strange for the first few days. I remember feeling almost naked as I went by, especially when I was wearing a mask, as only the bottom of my face felt covered.

It's been two months and I'm quite used to it now. Love not having to find my glasses whenever I go out!

I can't give you any tips regarding eye make up as I rarely wear it, but mascara alone is usually pretty good at making my eyes pop.

You'll get used to it. I have been wearing contacts for years and hate how cluttered my face looks with glasses on and that I feel hidden behind a barrier when I'm talking to people, but if I wear them for a few days it stops bothering me so much. I love my contacts, I'd hate to go back to full time glasses.

Thank you for all your positive responses! Its only day 2 so I'm sure I will get used to it. Glad to hear others have experienced the naked face feeling!

I've worn glasses since I was three. I'm 54 now.

When I was a student I tried contact lenses for a couple of years as my parents gave me the money to do so. I kind of got on with them, but I never really got used to not wearing glasses because they had been part of me for so many years.

I was actually relieved to go back to glasses after that. However, I am fairly long sighted even though I do need a much stronger prescription for reading and close-up work so my lenses don't really need much thinning.

Mascara and good strong eyebrows are the answer. For years your glasses have added structure and a frame to your face. Now you need to create that structure and frame in other ways.

Agree that you need to get your brows micro-bladed or whatever to make them look more predominant.

Eyebrows and mascara it is. Thanks everyone!
