Cosmetic surgery Dr Coombes reviews please

I was wondering if anyone has had a consultation or a mini facelift Apex performed by Dr Darrel Coombes at The Laser & Skin clinic (Worthing, not far from London)
I am about to arrange a consultation with Mr Coombs to discuss this procedure which is a mild plastic surgery op (local anaesthetic) - but before paying his £200 fee I would like to share my concern with you.

The Laser & Skin clinic quoted £2,500 for the treatment inc after care, whereas a couple of renowned clinics in London with top rated/experienced plastic surgeons quoted around £8,000. Whilst I’m over the moon to have found something I can only just afford, this makes me doubt: perhaps the treatment Coombs does, the Apex, differs from the usual more expensive one?
I shouldn’t think it does, judging from website, RealSelf and Mumsnet reviews I read, but we’re talking 3 times less than London's average price! And Worthing is not that far from London anyway to justify such remarkable price difference.
Any insights or comments will be greatly appreciate!

You can't trust Realself feedback in general. That website should be closed down. Doctors pay a subscription and the feedback is controlled. They can get negative feedbacks deleted very quickly.

I haven't heard of this doctor specifically but it's important to spread the word about Realself because a lot of people have had their lives ruined by trusting the feedback on this site.

I don't have any direct experience with this surgeon, but I wanted to say OP you could ask to view pictures of previous patients of his - or even speak to them. And you could ask him specifically why his procedure is much cheaper.
I know 200 quid is a lot to pay for a consultation but it doesn't mean you have to go ahead with him.

Honestly though, if you have any doubts I would recommend waiting another year or two and saving up - please don't cheap out on your face, you will be living with the results for a long time. I'm not saying this guy is bad, he may be great, but if you have any doubts then keep looking and saving for it.

With a facelift you want someone who is very skilled and has done it a thousand times so it's second nature. I've heard that Rajiv Grover is brilliant - but he's probably going to be expensive.

I can only speak from my experience and I am not suggesting others haven't had good results and good aftercare but PLEASE do your homework and follow your gut instinct. I would not recommend this surgeon based on my experience.

SopwithPup - Are you able to let me know your experience as a family member has upcoming surgery in the pipeline? New here so I’m not sure how it all works re: posting and contacting. Thank you.

Did you get any further messages regarding Darryl Coombes please? - as considering using him myself. Thank you
