Coat with metal label edge

Two reporters on tonight’s news ( norn Irn and another) were both wearing magenta wrap coats with a metal edge to the lapel. I think it’s just a fashion finish, DH thinks it’s a device to stop the lapel flapping in the wind....

Any idea where the coat is from?
